Do you have Primary Ovarian Insufficiency? This condition has also been referred to inaccurately as "premature menopause" and "premature ovarian failure."  Doctors at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are conducting a clinical research program whose goal is to develop improved treatments for young women with primary ovarian insufficiency (POI). These studies will also help doctors and patients learn more about POI. Our research is clarifying how POI differs from menopause.
